Some residents of Onitsha in Anambra State, especially the motorists plying the ever busy Onitsha-Owerri road have lamented the poor state of the road.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command has said the accident that occurred on Friday night at the Olokuta section of the Akure-Ondo road claimed the lives of two individuals and injured five others.
An eyewitness can be heard shouting the name of Jesus and pleading for help as the truck gets soaked in water in a viral video of a road acc#dent in which a large truck falls and tumbles into a flowing river next to the road.
"The driver of (the) university bus was overtaking a fleet of motor vehicles and as it was raining heavily, the bus skidded to the right side of the road," the police report said.
He explained that the current design of the road under construction is different from its original design which according to him was eight lanes without train tracks.
