It took a combined team of different fire services to put out the fire. The cause of the fire, which was said to have been noticed around 8 p.m., is not known yet.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service reports that the fire has been contained. The agency's Director, Margaret Adeseye, in a statement, said the fire which was reported at 8:50pm on Saturday involved "a trio of three-storey buildings."
A spokesperson for the Federal Fire Service said the agency received an alert 30 minutes after the fire started and its men were able to stop the inferno from spreading to adjourning buildings. No casualty was recorded in the fire.
However, Peoples Gazette observed members of the Federal Fire Service at the scene working to extinguish the fire. The block affected by the fire outbreak was identified as Block C in the Head of Service complex.

The cause of the fire at the building in Ismailia was not immediately clear, officials said. At least 50 ambulances and two airplanes were sent to the scene.
