It was learnt that the judge said he was inclined to grant the request sort by the plaintiff because all the defendants indicated that they had no objection to the suit.
This occurred shortly after the trial judge, Emeka Nwite deferred on ruling on the bail application filed by the embattled police officer and other defendants.
Three of the defendants were granted N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum, as Mr Elias ordered the Investigative Police Officer (IPO) to produce Naira Marley in court today, December 31.
The counsel to the defendants, G.O. Adih, did not object to the prosecutor's submission. However, in the charge read to the accused in Hausa through an interpreter, they pleaded not guilty.
