The 2020BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night's show honored the best songs and videos of the year, as well as the industry's biggest hustlers, the most visible hip hop platforms, and the most impactful protest tracks.

We reported that award winning Nigerian musician, Burna Boy who was nominated alongside Wizkid won the best International act on the recently concluded BET awards.
Lamela won the 2021 Puskas award, while Tuchel won Best Men's Coach award. The Best FIFA Awards was launched in 2016, after France Football broke the Ballon d'Or away from world football's governing body after corruption allegations.
Other winners at the award show include, Ghana's Niela who bagged Best Female Vocal Performance of the Year. Ghanaian highlife musician, Kwaisey Pee bagged won Male Vocal Performance of the Year award.
With the win, 'Essence' becomes the first African song to win a BETAward, and Wizkid becomes the first Nigerian and African to win an award outside the Best International Acts category.
