The plants affected by gas supply constraint included Sapele National Integrated Power Plant (NIPP), Olorunsogo NIPP, Ihovbor NIPP and Azura Edo.

As of 6:00 pm when this report was filed, Azura was the only plant on the grid with a capacity of 54 megawatts. Other plants like Egbin, Afam, Geregu, Ibom Power, Jebba, Kainji, Odukpani, Olorunsogo and others all had zero output.

He also noted that the Azura power plant construction was on schedule and when completed, it would add 450MW of electricity to the national grid.
