Some sections of the main market in Yola town have been destroyed by fire. The market went up in flames late Monday night while residents were in their houses.
A birthday celebrant and his friends reportedly set fire to a bar and hotel in Edo State while spraying inflammable substances. The was said to have started when the birthday boy and his friends toyed with a fire beside a hotel in Sapele.

The source said though no life was lost, but no fewer than 44 shops were destroyed by the inferno. This is the second time the market was gutted by fireinthe last eight months.
A school bus conveying school children went up in flames earlier today at Saint John by ogbogoro road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Pupils were rescued by passersby just before the school bus fire intensified. No lives were lost.
