The Naira continued to gain against the dollar following the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) $457 million intervention on Monday.
The naira Thursday appreciated to N389 per dollar in the parallel market following dollar sales to bureaux de change (BDCs) by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The naira closed at 370 to the United States dollar on Friday, as dollar supply from the Central Bank of Nigeria continued to wane.
This translated to N1 appreciation for the naira. Similarly the naira appreciated by 90 kobo in the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window, as the indicative exchange rate dropped to N368.6 per dollar yesterday from N369.5 per dollar on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the naira continued to maintain its stability in the FOREX market, exchanging at an average of N364/$1 in the BDC segment of the market on Monday, July 17, 2017.
