Europa League: Mourinho puts up 7 Tottenham players for sale

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, has told the club chairman, Daniel Levy, that a summer clear-out is needed at the end of this season.

Mourinho is ready to get rid of up to seven players before the new season begins.

They include Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Dele Alli, Ryan Sessegnon, Juan Foyth, Harry Winks and Erik Lamela.

When Mourinho was asked why his team are struggling to hold onto a lead, he told reporters last weekend: “Same coach, different players”.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss tried to sell Aurier last summer and even signed Matt Doherty to try and replace him.

Aurier also stormed out of the stadium at half time of their defeat to Liverpool.

Mourinho has consistently called out Alli in public and rarely played him. The midfielder has made 22 appearances for Spurs this season, but only 10 of those have been starts, some of which he has been dragged off at half-time.

He has been linked with reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s arrival all-but ended Winks’ run in the side and there appears to be little way back for him with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Moussa Sissoko ahead of him.

Mourinho will also be in the market for new forwards and central defenders.
