Nigeria vs Tunisia: What to expect from Super Eagles' friendly in Austria

Nigeria's friendly match against Tunisia on Tuesday, will be the second time they play this year.

The first was a 1-0 defeat to another North African side, Algeria, last Friday.

That game was settled by Ramy Bensebaini's 6th minute goal.

With Gernot Rohr preparing his side for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this year, he was able to give a few new faces a run out and try out new tactics.

Ideally, one should expect a much improved showing against Tunisia. But Wale Adigun, Head of Sports at Top Radio in Lagos, disagrees.

"I'm not expecting any improvement from the team. They've hardly played with each other, so I'll keep looking out for the individuals.

"Chidera Ejuke is a player I'll like to see. Zaidu Sanusi made an impression against Algeria and Rohr might give him another chance. Cyril Dessers has to start and an unimpressive showing can spell doom for Onuachu."

Adigun expects a tough test from the Carthage Eagles, who Nigeria defeated only last year in the AFCON third-place play-off.

"The Tunisians are a bunch who are based at home. Expect them to be better than us as a collective. I won't be surprised if we are beaten again," he added.
