Ashley Young compares solskjaer and Alex Ferguson, makes stunning statement

Manchester United star Ashley Young has backed embattled manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saying that the Norwegian has the same qualities with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who replaced Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford played under Alex Ferguson from 1996 to 2007 and he has always carried his former boss along in his managerial career.

Last season in the Champions League, Sir Alex Ferguson even traveled with Manchester United squad for some games to show his support for Solskjaer.

He traveled with the team to Paris where Manchester United got incredible result against PSG, and Ferguson was also with Manchester United at Camp Nou against Barcelona.

Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to achieve anything near what Ferguson achieved at Manchester United, but Ashley Young thinks he is on the right track.

"Since he came in it was like the boss had walked back through the door. Same traits, same winning mentality, same desire, hunger. He has been here as a player and know what the club is.

"That is what the club wanted and you can see at times in training he wants to put his boots on and join it. It has been fantastic and it's like the boss has walked back in the door,'' Young explained according to the report on UK Mirror.

Ashley Young also praised Solskjaer's influence on the young players since he took over at Manchester United giving the likes of Mason Greenwood and Jimmy James Garner the chance.
