Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named Belgian star Divock Origi as one of the Reds legends.

The 24-year-old played a key role in his side's Champions League triumph after scoring crucial goal in their semi final clash against Barcelona at Anfield.

His goal was all the Merseyside outfit needed to reach the final of the competition last campaign, before they went ahead to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the final in Madrid.

The Mirror however quoted the German boss saying the attacker is one of the Reds top players ahead of their UCL clash against Genk.

Klopp's men cruised to 4-1 victory in the first leg last month and they are hoping to complete a double on their Belgian opposition.

Origi has made nine appearances in the Premier League for his club this campaign but has yet to break into Liverpool's starting line up since he joined them from Lille about four seasons ago.

When asked about the striker's former club Genk's illustrious track record of former players including Kevin De Bruyne and Kalidou Koulibaly, Klopp said:

"Divock Origi too, don't forget him.

"Liverpool legend, he's quite famous here."

The Reds are currently second on Group E table with six points after three matches - one behind table toppers Napoli.

Klopp however hinted according to the Mirror that he will ring changes to his team against Genk to rest players for their crunch EPL clash against Manchester City this weekend.

"We will hopefully have a couple of fresh legs in," he said at his pre-match press conference.

"It's clear that we want that, but it's not like we will do so many changes that you cannot recognise our team anymore and think 'who is that?'.

"No, this period was absolutely OK because we made changes against Arsenal , we had to, then we played Aston Villa, now we have to look a little bit at what we do tomorrow night. But then we have enough time to prepare for City."
