Dani Alves willing to join Arsenal on £200,000-a-week deal

Dani Alves wants to join Arsenal and is willing to accept a pay cut to secure a move to the Gunners, according to reports.

The Brazil international is available on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer.

The 36-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs including Manchester City, Tottenham and Inter.

But according to The Sun, the prospect of linking back up with Unai Emery at Arsenal 'appeals most' to Alves.

The report also claims that Alves is willing to take a pay cut in order to join Arsenal but the right-back is demanding a deal worth £200,000 a week, which is less than the £230,000-a-week contract he was earning at PSG.

Alves has already played under Emery for one season at Paris Saint-Germain and helped the club win the domestic treble during that campaign.

Alves is currently on holiday after winning the Copa America with Brazil earlier this month.

And when asked about his future, Alves insisted he is keen to win more trophies.

'Now I'm free, but I still have a lot to accomplish in my career,' said Alves.

'The only thing that I can say is that the club that sign me will sign a true champion.'
