Checkout Chelsea star who left the bench to the toilet and never returned during loss to Arsenal

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is in fresh trouble with manager Maurizio Sarri over going to the toilet and not returning.

The Denmark international was an unused substitute doing Chelsea's 2-0 loss at Arsenal which led Sarri launching a public attack on his players.

And according to reports the center-back got the Italian boss more furious after failing to return to the dug out from a toilet break.

According to The Times, Christensen saw Sarri making the final change as Callum Hudsoin-Odoi came on in the 80th minute in the match at the Emirates.

The 22-year-old then told colleagues he was going into dressing room to use the loo, only for him not return.

There was indication Christensen had sought the permission of the coaching staff before making his dash away from the bench.

Reports say Sarri is far from impressed by his player's actions, which come on the back of a series of disappointing reactions from the players.

After the Arsenal loss the ex-Napoli boss launched a stinging public attack on his squad, accusing them of lacking the desire and mentality he demands.

He said: "Today I prefer to speak Italian first of all because I want to send a message to my players, and I want my message to be very clear.

"I have to say that I'm extremely angry, very angry indeed.

"This defeat was due to our mentality more than anything else, our mental approach. We played against a team more determined than we were. And I can't accept that.

"Tactics don't come into it. Their high level of motivation was obvious throughout, particularly in both penalty areas.

"I'd prefer to come in here to talk about the tactics, about why we lost from a tactical point of view, but the fact is it appears this group of players is extremely difficult to motivate."
