Nigerians on Twitter are reacting with anger after a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Sokoto was beaten and burnt to death on allegations of blasphemy today Thursday, May 12.
The Christian student, Deborah Yakubu, was accused of insulting Prophet Muhammad (SAW), after reportedly sending a voice note where she challenged her fellow students for sharing religious information in their group chat on Whatsapp.
While the government of Sokoto has ordered the immediate closure of the college, angry Nigerians have taken to Twitter to condemn the lynching of Deborah.
