Timaya, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has released his much-anticipated ninth studio album, 'Gladiator'.
In the body of work, released in the early hours of Thursday, the 44-year-old Port Harcourt-based musician features both international and Nigerian artistes. The global artistes include Mr Killa, the Grenadian singer; Jamaican artiste Konshens and Eugy Official, the Ghanaian musician. Olamide, Phyno, Tiwa Savage and fast-rising artiste Alpha P are Nigerian singers enlisted in the 13-track project.
Speaking about 'Gladiator', Timaya said the body of work is "a statement of resilience and strength". He also revealed that the album explores themes including love, success and empowerment.

Timaya, known for his unique voice and infectious rhythms, takes listeners on a journey through various themes, from empowerment and success to love and celebration. The album features a stellar lineup of collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry, adding depth and diversity to the project.
Born Inetimi Timaya Odon, the musician rose to fame in 2005 with 'Dem Mama', his hit single. He founded DM Records Limited, a label that housed music stars like Patoranking and Runtown.
