Leicester City vs Chelsea: Lampard reacts as midfielder leaves Stamford Bridge

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, has said that it was great for midfielder, Danny Drinkwater, to leave Stamford Bridge in order to get more playing time for himself.

Lampard said this on Monday ahead of Chelsea's Premier League tie with Leicester City on Tuesday.

Drinkwater had signed for Kasımpaşa on loan from Chelsea.

The 30-year-old has failed to settle at Chelsea after the Blues signed him from Leicester, where he won the Premier League title in 2017.

Speaking on the development, Lampard said at his pre-match press conference, "It's great for Danny [Drinkwater, who has joined Kasimpasa on loan] to go and play for himself and get some games.

"I am not considering getting players out to bring in at this point. I am just trying to make sure the balance of the squad is right."
