Leicester City vs Fulham: Brendan Rodgers reveals why his team lost 2-1 at home

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, has said that Fulham defeated the Foxes 2-1 in the Premier League on Monday night because his team made 'too many mistakes' during the encounter against the visitors.

Fulham defeated Leicester at the King Power Stadium, thanks to two goals from Ademola Lookman and Ivan Cavaleiro.

Harvey Barnes scored a late second-half goal for Rodgers's side.

Speaking after the game, Rodgers told a post-match press conference: "We are disappointed, mistakes were made in the first half, and it was an uphill climb. We had a lot more of the ball but lacked creativity.

"I thought Fulham deserved to win it, they had more energy in the first half and pounced on our mistakes, and in the second half, they dropped deep.

"It was more to do with ourselves, we knew they would be compact and tight, but in the first half, the speed and creativity in our game were not there.

"You cannot get away from the fact the players up until this point have done fantastically, considering the quality of players we have had out.

"In the last few games, we have made mistakes and got punished. It is a young team, and sometimes they play young."

Leicester's next fixture is against Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League on Thursday.
