Man Utd vs Tottenham: No excuse, you all are pathetic - Gary Neville blasts Red Devils players

Former Manchester United player, Gary Neville, has blasted the club's players following the Red Devils' Premier League 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at Old Trafford.

Neville said Man United players were absolutely pathetic for losing at home against Jose Mourinho's side.

According to him, there was no excuse for their defeat against Spurs, adding that Man United lacked resilience and know-how to win games.

Mourinho's men defeated Man United, thanks to goals from Tanguy Ndombele, Son Heung-min (2), Harry Kane (2), and Serge Aurier as Bruno Fernandes's strike was not enough to give the host a point.

"There is no excuse for those players who were out on that pitch today. They were absolutely pathetic. Their body language was terrible, it was spiritless and spineless," Neville told Sky Sports.

"When you've got a squad that lacks resilience and know-how to win games, the off the pitch stuff with Harry Maguire and Mason Greenwood, the darkness surrounding recruitment and not getting players when Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are signing players, the minute Spurs went two goals up it was almost as if all those negative thoughts came and drained every bit of confidence out of them.

"It's not right, but that is what happened."
