Heartbreak for PSG as Neymar could be banned for doing 1 thing after Champions League win vs Leipzig

Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar has risked punishment from UEFA, after he broke protocol by swapping shirts with RB Leipzig defender, Marcel Halstenberg, following their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

Neymar was again in impressive form as PSG beat the German side 3-0 to qualify for the final.

The Brazilian hit the post twice and laid on a superb assist for Angel Di Maria to make it 2-0.

PSG will face the winners of today's other semi-final between Bayern Munich and Lyon, who dumped out Manchester City in the last eight.

But it was Neymar's actions after the game that have attracted controversy, after he swapped shirts with Halstenberg, something UEFA have warned against amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In the body's return to play protocol, they state: "Players are recommended to refrain from swapping their shirts."

The document also states that non-compliance with the regulations 'may lead to disciplinary measures in accordance with the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations'.
