Top African president sends 1 important message to Arsenal after FA Cup triumph

Rwanda president Paul Kagame has called on Arsenal to build on their triumph over Chelsea in the FA Cup and "aim at much bigger things."

Arsenal sunk Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium during the finals of the tournament to lift the title for a record 14th time.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the match hero for the Gunners after striking twice to help the North London side to a comfortable win.

Frank Lampard's Blues had taken the lead through Christian Pulisic inside five minutes of gameplay before Aubameyang scored from the spot to restore parity.

The Gabonese completed his brace of the evening in the second half as Arsenal held on to claim a win.

An elated Kagame later took Twitter to celebrate the victory, before sending the club a rallying call.

"Bravo, congrats Arsenal for a well-deserved and needed FA Cup win," he tweeted.

"We, fans, and supporters kept faith in you. Going forward let's aim at much bigger things and yes we can," he added.

Arsenal and Rwanda enjoy a strong and cordial relationship after the two entities entered into a business partnership back in 2018.

The deal, marshalled by Kagame saw the East African country become among the club's biggest sponsors.
