Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, has said they were forced to take a critical look at themselves this week, after losing the LaLiga title to Real Madrid for the first time since 2017.
The Catalans' 2-1 home defeat to Osasuna on Thursday, saw their rivals confirmed as champions.
It triggered an angry interview from Messi, who labelled the team "weak" and "inconsistent".
Barca rounded up their domestic season with a 5-0 thrashing of Alaves on Sunday, with Messi scoring twice.
"We were self-critical and took a hard look at ourselves [after Osasuna], which is what we needed to do," Messi told Movistar after the Alaves win.
"We realised that we have not had a good season in terms of performances or results. I think today was a step forward in terms of attitude and commitment, which is what we must always have.
"We have to go out with the same desire as our opponent, or even more, and the performances will stem from that."
