Thiago agrees terms with Liverpool

Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Liverpool to move to Anfield this summer transfer window.

We reported that Thiago had drawn the interest of Liverpool in the past.

Thiago recently rejected a new deal with the Bundesliga champions and informed them that he wants to seek a new challenge.

According to Bild, Thiago is set to become Liverpool's first signing of the summer after the Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp gave the club's board approval to go ahead with a deal for the 29-year-old.

Liverpool is now expected to pay Bayern Munich £36million for the midfielder's signature.

Speaking of Thiago, after Liverpool played Bayern Munich in the Champions League last season, Klopp described the former Barcelona star as a world-class footballer.

Klopp said: "Thiago is a world-class footballer.

"He played that deep-lying playmaker role very well. Alongside Javi Martinez, they were very good."
