EPL: Arsenal to be without five key players for Liverpool clash

Arsenal will be without five key players when they host Liverpool at Emirates Stadium in Thursday's Premier League clash due to injuries and suspension.

Mikel Arteta's side made this known in a statement via the club's official website on Tuesday.

The Gunners head to the game after losing 2-1 against Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League fixture.

"Calum Chambers: Ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee during Chelsea (h) on December 29. Will not be available for the current schedule of remaining 2019/20 matches," a club statement read.

"Bernd Leno: Sustained moderate ligament sprain during Brighton (a) on June 20. Aiming to return to full training before the end of the season.

"Pablo Mari: Sustained significant sprain to ankle ligaments during Manchester City (a). Aiming to return to full training in September.

"Gabriel Martinelli: Sustained injury during training on June 21. Will not be available for the current schedule of the remaining 2019/20 matches.

"Eddie Nketiah: Suspended for three matches following a red card against Leicester City (h). Available again for Aston Villa on Tuesday, July 21.

"Mesut Ozil: Being assessed ahead of Liverpool (h) following back soreness."

The match is scheduled at 8:15 pm.
