Premier League giants plot world record move to sign top Super Eagles star

Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly interested in the signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen who currently plays for French side Lille.

Jurgen Klopp and his men have already won the 2019/20 Premier League title depite the season remaining some games and the Germany wants to bolster his squad this summer.

According to the report by L'Equipe, the Anfield landlords are yet to make an official bid for the Super Eagles star who is also wanted by Napoli.

Scoring 18 goals in a season with six assists has made Victor Osimhen become target for many clubs with Arsenal and Manchester United also reported to be monitoring him.

However, Napoli are said to have put forward massive sum of €80 million for them to lure Victor Osimhen to Italy in a deal which will make him the highest paid Nigerian footballer in history.

Complete Sports are also reporting that Super Eagles coach Gernot want want his striker to make a move to Napoli claiming that he would enjoy his career at the club.

"Victor has a great player mentality. And often, in our chats, I advised him to take an important step and go to a level club, where he can find the right space to play continuously and grow.

"He is a guy who loves to work hard and who needs to be in constant competition.

I hope Victor talks about it with Gattuso and can then find the right role within the Napoli project,'' Rohr explained
