5 Premier League matches you can not afford to miss when the league resumes on June 17

Premier League is close to restarting as fans are in for a number of exciting and potentially entertaining when resumption gets underway.

After nearly three months of unprecedented break, the Premier League is set to resume action beginning Wednesday, June 17.

And apart from Liverpool being a breath away from being crowned champions, there is still plenty more fans can look forward in the 92 remaining matches.

1. Arsenal vs Man City

The fixture is among the first that will curtain raise the restart.

With City's hopes for retaining the title all but over, attention will be on Arsenal who are desperate to seal a Champions League place.

Victory at home will renew the Gunners' hopes of finishing among the top four teams as it will keep them five points off Chelsea.

2. Tottenham vs Man United

Spurs have endured a difficult spell since the arrival of Jose Mourinho who took over from Mauricio Pochettino back in November 2019.

However, the coronavirus pandemic may have come as a blessing in disguise for Mourinho with its break seeing a number of previously injured Spurs players make a return.

The fixture will see Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba potentially link up together in the midfield for the very first time.

3. Aston Villa vs Chelsea

The match is slated for the weekend of Saturday, June 20.

With just three points separating Chelsea in fourth and Man United in fifth, every game will be crucial for Frank Lampard.

However, a trip to Villa Park to face a team fighting for survival will not be a walk in the park for the Blues.

4. Everton vs Liverpool

The Merseyside derby will see Liverpool possibly lift the title at Goodison Park.

Having lost just a single match all through the campaign, Liverpool are well on course to win it by record points.

5. Tottenham vs Arsenal

The London derby will be Spurs' first since they moved to their new incredible new stadium.

The tie will be crucial for both sides as they are looking to finish in the top four.
