LaLiga: Barcelona thrash Mallorca to go five points clear of Real Madrid

Barcelona went five points clear of Real Madrid, following a 4-0 victory over Mallorca on Saturday night.

It was the Spanish champions' first game since March 7, following the COVID-19 outbreak.

The visitors went in front as early as the second minute of play, after Arturo Vidal headed home Jordi Alba's cross.

Martin Braithwaite doubled their advantage with eight minutes left to half time.

Alba made it three late in the second half, before Lionel Messi rounded off scoring on an impressive night for Quique Setien's men at the Visit Mallorca Estadi.

Real Madrid will be looking to close the gap when they host Eibar on Sunday.
