Here is what Premier League teams are offering players to restart the season amid COVID-19 scare

Premier League clubs are reportedly trying to persuade players to restart the new season despite thousands of deaths being recorded during the global pandemic.

It is understood with the players are not happy with the unethical behavior exhibited by clubs and stars have held discussions regarding the issue in recent weeks.

Reports from Mail claim the top-flight division players are growing increasingly "wary of their employers' motives".

Some of the clubs can not wait for the league to resume and complete their remaining matches in order to avoid huge financial losses.

It is also understood that players could benefit from new contracts if they adhere to their club's stance.

Teams are also getting senior pros to rally their players, whether the season should restart or remain with their wage reduction scheme.

Footballers will have to sign a coronavirus code of practice before any resumption as some teams are not keen to return whereby encouraging players unwilling to return not to sign them.

Teams are also rumoured to be not keen on the plans to return, are encouraging sceptical players not to sign them.

And if players refuse to sign the COVID-19 code of practice, it could derail plans for the league to resume.
