Newcastle set to beat Arsenal, West Ham for Real Madrid star in summer mega deal

Newcastle are presently active in the transfer market following their £300million takeover bid as they eye Real Madrid star Luka Jovic.

The Magpies are looking to beat Arsenal and West ham for the Serbian who is currently out of favour in Zinedine Zidane's side.

It is understood that the St, James' Park outfit are ready to pay the £62m price placed by the Spanish giants on the striker.

Jovic made a summer move to Los Blancos from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt but has failed to make an impression at the Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old has only played one full 90 minutes under Zidane and have come on as a substitute in 14 other appearances.

It is understood that Jovic has spoken to his international teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic about the potential move, 90min claim.

Mitrovic who currently plies his trade with Championship club Fulham suggested that his former club Newcastle would be ideal for his compatriot.

West Ham are also strong contenders for Jovic after their £45m acquisition of French striker Sebastian Haller turned into a flop.

But Hammers' boss David Moyes boss believes Haller and Jovic in his attack would pose a formidable combination for his side.

On the other hand, Gunners boss Mike Arteta is also looking for a long term replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is set to leave the Emirates this summer.

Jovic has only managed to score two goals for Real but netted 30 in 55 appearances during his spell at Frankfurt.
