Victor Osimhen has become a summer target with Premier League giants Chelsea along with his Lille teammate Gabriel Magalhaes.
According to French news media outlet Le10Sport, the Blues have turned their attention to the Nigerian international this month.
The Super Eagles striker has been on remarkable form in his debut season in Ligue 1 following a summer switch from Belgian side Chaleroi.
The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances this campaign including a Champions League goal against Chelsea.
Osimhen's form has not gone unnoticed from top European sides with the likes of La Liga and Premier League sides keeping tabs on the Nigerian.
It is understood that Osimhen would prefer to play in the money-spinning English top-flight division when the right offer comes.
Chelsea have signed Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and reports also claim the west London club are close to agreeing terms with Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho.
