Here are the top 10 highest earners at Arsenal after club's 12.5% pay cut as Aubameyang is dethroned

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil remains the club's highest paid player with the midfielder well on course to rake in more than £300,000-a-week after squad members accepting 12.5% pay cut.

Ozil, who is currently on a £350k-per-week wages, rejected the Gunners' proposal to have salaries slashed due to a financial crisis occasioned by the outbreak of coronavirus.

The German star was listed among two other players who were opposed to the decision, with move causing uproar from fans.

The 31-year-old is understood to be willing to have his wages reduced only after the financial impact of the pandemic becomes clearer.

Should the World Cup-winning star make a U-turn on his decision and agree to a pay cut, he will still be earning a massive £306,250-a-week.

The staggering amount sets him far apart from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is now set to pocket £175k-a-week as Arsenal's second highest earner.
