Premier League clubs West Ham, Crystal Palace interested in signing Super Eagles striker in the summer

Josh Maja has become a summer target for Premier League sides West Ham and Crystal Palace after a decent spell with Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.

The Nigerian international has scored eight goals in 24 matches for the French club before the outbreak of COVID-19.

According to The Sun, West Ham and Crystal Palace have been monitoring the 21-year-old who once played for English side Sunderland.

The one-capped Super Eagles striker has a deal with Bordeaux until the summer of 2023 but the Hammers look more likely to sign Maja.

Bordeaux has placed a £10million price tag on the forward, a fee both London clubs can afford to pay to add more bite to their squad.

Sunderland were forced to sell the Nigerian star for a cut-price to ease their financial crisis with six months left in his contract at the Stadium of Light.

Maja scored 16 goals in 30 appearances for the Black Cats in the 2018-19 campaign before leaving in the January window.
