Chelsea are interested in signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this summer but face competition from Manchester United for the England international's signature.
Rice started his career at Stamford Bridge but he joined the Hammers after he was let go by the Blues as a teenager.
The 21-year-old started his career as a centre-back but he's established himself as a deep-lying midfielder at the London Stadium.
Rice is a close friend of Mason Mount following his time at Stamford Bridge and Sky Sports claim Lampard wants to sign the midfielder to slot into his starting XI next season, likely at the expense of Jorginho.
However, Chelsea face stiff competition from Manchester United, who have tracked the midfielder since he broke into the Hammers' first team.
United would be willing to spend big on Rice should they qualify for the Champions League and it's clear that any move is not going to come cheaply.
Rice recently signed a new long-term, putting West Ham in a strong negotiating position.
The price they demand is likely to depend on whether they can secure Premier League safety but, should they do so, a fee of around £75m has been touted for Rice's signature.
Lampard will be given significant funds this summer after navigating his first season at the club without spending any money.
