Nigerian heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba picked up his 13th professional victory after beating Romanian heavyweight boxer Razvan Cojanu on Saturday, March 7, at the Barclays Center, New York, US.

Despite fighting outside Houston where he is trained by Ronnie Shields, 25-year-old Ajagba made it 13-0, 11 KOs as he took his time to break down Cojanu, whose face was badly battered by the end of the fight.

Ajagba knocked down Cojanu on two occasions in the eight round before stopping the 32-year-old Romanian boxer in the ninth round of the fight which was headlined by the Adam Kownacki-Robert Helenius heavyweight title bout.

The Nigerian Olympian battered his opponent from the first to the ninth round, and when Cojanu went down on his knee, the referee waved it off at 2 minutes, 46 seconds.

Cojanu has now lost five of his last six fights, all to quality opponents including former two-time world title challenger Luis Ortiz and former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.
