Here's the top Premier League manager who might be banned due to deadly coronavirus

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson might be prevented from coming to the Selhurst Park Stadium for his side's Premier League clash against Watford.

The Eagles who are currently 12th on the table with 36 points from 28 matches are just nine points away from safety - with just 10 matches to wrap the season up.

However, the spread of deadly coronavirus across the world has continued to create a negative impact on sports.

A number of games have already been postponed in Italy, while others played behind closed doors all in the name of stopping the virus from spreading.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Grand Prix and the UAE cycling tour have also been suspended due to the same reason.

Though preparations for the 2020 Olympic Games is currently ongoing, the Local Organising Committee members are not ruling out a chance of moving it till the later part of the year.

With the UK confirming the death of a woman in her 70's due to the deadly virus, the EPL is not planning to stop Hodgson and every other person in that age range from gaining entrance into the match venue.

This will also affect Manchester United legend, Sir Alex Ferguson who constantly comes to the stadium to cheer his former club to victory at every given opportunity he got.

Sky News' sports correspondent Martha Kelner said: "The Premier League is prepared for the possibility that Public Health England will advise that some fixtures this season will have to be played behind closed doors, as has been the case in other European leagues like Italy and Morocco,"

"It is understood that the preference in the case of advice that the season be postponed or played behind closed doors would be that it continues without fans permitted inside stadiums.

"The league is also considering other possible contingency plans.

"That may include advising against, or even a possible ban, on over 70s - the demographic considered to be at highest risk from the spread of COVID-19 - coming inside stadiums."

Reports claim the elderly are at serious risk if they contract the virus and so they could be banned to minimise the chances of contracting COVID-19.
