Amid growing tension of internal crisis at Camp Nou, Lionel Messi may quit Barcelona and reunite with former boss Pep Guardiola at Premier League side Manchester City.

Messi has spent his entire football career with Catalans, winning 34 trophies among several awards including six Ballon d'Or gongs.

But of recent, the Argentine hitman seemed to be displeased with the situations of things in Camp Nou especially since the sacking of his former boss Ernesto Valverde.

Valverde was given the marching orders out by Barcelona on Tuesday night, January 14, bringing to a sudden halt his reign as the boss of the Spanish giants.

Barcelona showed no clemency as they quickly fired the 55-year-old manager with Quique Setien brought into the helm as the new boss.

And since the arrival of the 61-year-old Spaniard, Barcelona's campaign run has been dealt with lack of consistency, with the Spanish champion managing to pick two victories in the last four encounters.

To make the matter worse, Barcelona's director of sports Eric Abidal recently sought the wrath the of the Argentine forward after playing a blame game on players over the sacking former manager Valverde.

Speaking with a Spanish media outlet Diario Sport, Abidal had submitted that lack of full commitment from players was responsible for Valverde's Camp Nou exit.

But in a response on Instagram, Lionel Messi cautioned Abidal against plunging the club into internal crisis.

The furious Argentine hitman also told the former central defender to be specific in his naming in order not to say ''things which are not true.''

As Barcelona continue to experience arguably their turbulent time in recent histories, Messi is reportedly willing to leave Camp Nou next summer.

Barcelona president had earlier said the club would convince Messi into another contract while admitting that he feared the day Messi would part ways with the Catalans.

But as it looks, Messi is no more interested in another contract, and he may switch to Premier League in search of new challenges.

Should Messi finally decide to call it to quit with the Spaniard side, he will move his stunning fleet of cars and pet dog Hulk to England.

Messi's garage is believed to worth around £2.7m, with the Argentinian's prized possession a rare Pagani Zonda Roadster valued at £1.5m.

Messi also has a pair of Maserati's, a Ferrari F430 Spider, Dodge Charger, a Cadillac Escalade, Mini Cooper and a Toyota Prius.
