Manchester United risks losing some of their key players with about two more weekends before the winter transfer window closes.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP this month.

However, their failure to reach a financial agreement with the player and his club is stalling the move from happening any moment.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed Daniel James, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka last summer.

But they still need some key players in some major departments to help them finish strong at the end of the season.

1. Paul Pogba

The highly-rated midfielder has failed to make an impact since his sensational return to Man United three years ago.

Pogba is now facing a bleak future with the Red Devils, with reports suggesting he could be on his way out.

Real Madrid are understood to be the leading candidates to sign the embattled Frenchman in a reported swap deal that could include Toni Kroos.

2. Jesse Lingard

The once-promising winger has shockingly fallen out of favour at his boyhood club.

His poor form has also seen him fall out with supporters who want him shipped out.

He has already been linked with a switch to Leicester City, with reports also indicating he has been offered to Italian giants, AC Milan.

3. Tahith Chong

Having failed to break into the first team, the 20-year-old prospect looks set to leave Old Trafford.

The Dutchman has already entered the last six months of his current deal with United and is free to hold talks with foreign clubs.

Juventus are said to be the leading candidates to land the services of the youngster.

4. Ashley Young

After diligently serving the Red Devils for close to 10 years, Young appears to have entered his sunset days with the Manchester club.

Mirror UK reports the club captain has attracted interest from Inter Milan who are ready to land his services this month.

5. Marcos Rojo

The Argentinian center-half has endured a turbulent spell since his move to Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old has failed to cement a starting place under Solskjaer and is therefore currently regarded as surplus.

He has already been linked with moves to the Turkish side, Fenerbahce, and Portuguese outfit, Sporting Lisbon.
