Transfer: What Lampard told Chelsea board about signing Jadon Sancho from Dortmund

Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard has reportedly told the club's board not to sign Dortmund's Jadon Sancho this January's transfer window.

According to The UK Sun, Lampard wants the club's hierarchy to wait until the summer to make their move for Sancho.

The newspaper reports that the former Derby County manager believes he has enough wingers in his current squad and advised the Blues' chiefs to focus on signing a new striker that will assist Tammy Abraham at Stamford Bridge.

Sancho was among the three players lampard wanted chelsea to sign this window.

Sancho has been impressive for Dortmund so far this season.

The 19-year-old came second behind Atletico Madrid and Portugal youngster, Joao Felix, for last year's Golden Boy award for the best under-21 players in Europe.
