Man United star makes stunning statement about Ronaldo after scoring superb goal against Newcastle

Marcus Rashford was on target for Manchester United in their 4-1 win over Newcastle United in Boxing Day's Premier League fixture at Old Trafford.

The England international out-jumped Federico Fernandez before heading home the Red Devils' third goal of the game from an Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross in the 41st minute.

Meanwhile, despite jumping high up to meet the ball in the air, Rashford seems unsatisfied with his efforts - saying he is yet to reach Cristiano Ronaldo's aerial ability.

It would be recalled that the Portuguese forward provided an incredible header which made Juve outscore their opponent Sampdoria in their last Serie A clash of the year 2019.

The former Real Madrid forward jumped 8ft 5in to head Juventus into the lead as they wrapped up the year on a winning note.

After the game, Rashford who was not very impressed with his efforts, said on social media:

"Not quite @Cristiano jumping levels yet but working on it."

The 22-year-old, however, stretched his goal tally across competitions so far this campaign to 15 goals in 26 appearances.

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, on the other hand, believes Rashford has risen well to the position of Ronaldo with stunning goals in recent times.

He said: "Marcus Rashford's today was a fantastic goal. He has been working on it. He is a physical specimen and he looks after himself.

"He is working hard in the gym and when you've got that spring it's about courage and getting up there, I remember a boy I used to play with who used to head it quite well when he was close to the goal, and we compare him quite often.

"So that's another string to his bow, Marcus, that Cristiano [Ronaldo] used to get at that age as well."
