EPL: Solskjaer singles out one Man Utd player after 2-1 win over Man City

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has hailed Fred's performance, following a 2-1 win at Manchester City on Saturday.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial scored in the first half, to put United in firm control at the Etihad.

Although, Nicolas Otamendi pulled one back for the Premier League champions, Solskjaer's men held on for a win that took them into the top five.

However, Fred was impressive in midfield along Scott McTominay and Jesse Lingard.

"Fred, fantastic," Solskjaer told reporters at the Etihad.

The Norwegian also commented on the racist incident that involved the Brazilian and Lingard.

"Fred and Lingard took coins from the fans and then this not very clever fella is making racist gestures at them.

"He shouldn't be allowed to watch football again, in person anyway," he said.
