Cristiano Ronaldo finally reveals why he stormed out of the stadium after being substituted

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has now admitted club boss Maurizio Sarri was justified to substitute him twice for the Serie A giants since he was playing injured.

In his substitution against AC Milan, Ronaldo was taken off for Paulo Dybala after just nine minutes into the second half.

However, the Portuguese star appeared to express his displeasure with the decision as he headed straight into the dressing room sparking speculation of a row between him and Sarri.

His action came just days after he had been subbed in a Champions League tie with Lokomotiv Moscow, with Sarri claiming he took the decision due to Ronaldo having a recurring knee problem.

The former Real Madrid forward has now poured cold water over claims of an existing rift with Sarri, accepting the Italian boss made the right calls.

"In the last three weeks I have been limited," Ronaldo said according to Mirror UK citing Football Italia.

"Everyone knows that I don't like to be substituted, but there was no problem in my gestures after the change. I tried to help Juventus by playing injured. No one likes to be replaced, but I understand it, because I wasn't well in those two games. I wasn't 100%," he added.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has since hit the ground running, helping Portugal book a place in the Euro 2020, where they will look to defend their crown.
