Cristiano Ronaldo tells Juventus the only Man Utd star they must sign

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly given Juventus the green light to re-sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

The Frenchman's future at Old Trafford remains doubtful having made it known he wanted to play for Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid earlier this year.

Los Blancos also made efforts to sign the midfielder before the European transfer window closed but United refused to allow their record signing leave.

Meanwhile, having enjoyed his first spell at the Allianz Stadium, Pogba could be keen to reunite with his former team.

Pogba's current deal with Man United expires in 2021 having re-joined them from Juve in 2016 in the club's record fee around £90 million.

Express UK quoting El Desmarque in Spain claims Ronaldo has approved that particular transfer and the Italian League champions are considering a move for the attacker in January.

Pogba's last game for United was in the Red Devils' 1-1 draw against Arsenal after picking up an ankle injury in September.

The Frenchman stylishly confirmed earlier this month that he would not be ready to return for action until early December, but the club will hope his recovery process speeds up.

United are currently seventh on the table with 16 points - 18 points behind current table-toppers Liverpool after 12 EPL games.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are still not giving up on their chase for the World Cup-winning midfielder, as they hope to offer Isco plus cash for the player.

Although Pogba's performances have been less than average this season, that does not equally reduce his value in the market.
