EPL: Solskjaer reveals why Man Utd lost 1-0 to Bournemouth

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has blamed his side's failure to control the game, for their 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Red Devils recent improvement in results, was brought to an end at the Vitality Stadium, following Josh King's first-half winner.

The result means that United failed to close the gap on top six places in the Premier League.

Solskjaer, speaking to BT Sport, said: "We are disappointed but when you come to places like this you have to take control of the game. We did not and we could not get the goal. We were missing some quality at times. Maybe I should have started something others.

"I think we started the game well though so maybe that was not the case. We have to win games like this. We are disappointed. We have to look forward now though."

On conceding, the Norwegian added: "The first goal was always going to be important. Every time you concede a goal it is bad but we are disappointed with this. We had time to tackle on a couple of occasions. You have to say it was a bit of magic that won the game."
