Manchester United are waiting to discover the extent of Anthony Martial's muscle injury before they sanction Alexis Sanchez's move to Inter Milan, according to ESPN.
Martial is set for scans this week after suffering the injury in their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The France forward was barely able to move during the final few minutes but stayed on the pitch until the end, because Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had no more substitutions available.
Martial was limping heavily as he left the stadium and the 23-year-old will undergo tests this week.
It is a blow to Sanchez's hopes of joining Inter before the European transfer deadline on September 2.
The Serie A side is trying to negotiate a loan deal for the Chilean with an obligation to buy next summer.
