Liverpool tell 9 players to leave the club despite winning Champions League title

Premier League giants Liverpool have released total of nine players which include the duo of Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno ahead of next season's football campaign.

Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan was also asked to leave the club by manager Jurgen Klopp who is trying to bolster his squad so as to challenge for EPL title next term.

Bogdan made six first-team appearances for the Reds after signing for the club on a free transfer from Botlon in 2015.

Liverpool also released academy graduate Connor Rendall who played for the senior side eight times under Klopp.

And academy players Juanma, Conor Masterson, Glen McAuley, Corey Whelan and Ben Williams will also leave the club after not having their contracts renewed.

"The most important words to say to these two remarkable players is 'thank you'

"They were here when I arrived as manager and during that period they - as much as anyone - helped to establish us as a team that would be heading in the right direction.

"Without them we wouldn't be the team and club we are in this moment,'' Jurgen Klopp said in a statement according to UK Sun.
