See the huge sum Liverpool is set to pocket if they beat Tottenham in Champions League final

Liverpool will reportedly pocket a record £100m in prize money from UEFA should they defeat Tottenham in the Champions League finals.

The Reds will however earn £94.6m if they lose the title to Spurs, with Mauricio Pochettino's side collecting around £93m should they win the European competition.

According to a Mail Online report, the sums are decided after consideration of a raft of factors, including performance bonuses for group stage wins and draws.

Despite standing a chance of pocketing a considerably good amount of cash even if the they lose the title, both sides will be seeking to end the 2018/19 campaign with a trophy.

Liverpool missed out on the Premier League title by a single point, as Man City marched to glory with 98 points.

As such, Jurgen Klopp's men will be aiming for the European title to end their remarkable campaign with a trophy.

They staged a dramatic comeback over Barcelona in the semis to seal a spot in the finals, overturning the La Liga champion's 3-0 goal advantage at Anfield.

Spurs, on the other hand stunned Man City in the quarters before booking a semi-final date with Dutch side, Ajax Amsterdam.

Ajax nearly dumped the London club from the tournament but Lucas Moura's magic in Netherlands ensured Spurs' safe passage to the finals.

The finals of the European showpiece has been slated for Saturday, June 1, at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
