Chelsea name the only Premier League manager they will sign to replace Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea have reportedly lined up Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo as a candidate to replace Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have struggled in the Premier League this campaign despite hiring new manager last summer.

They are currently sixth on the log with 56 points - just two points Manchester United who are currently fourth on the log.

With the way it stands, they may not qualify for UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive time in a row.

SunSport however reports that the west London outfit are ready to show the Italian born tactician at the end of the season and hire Wolves boss.

The 60-year-old is confident of staying at the club next term having kicked off plans to better his side's performances.

After crashing out of the FA Cup last month at the Bridge, the Blues chiefs took a major step about the manager's future.

Though, Sarri's fate took a turnaround after leading his side to back-to-back EPL wins against Fulham and Tottenham.

However, Chelsea according to Daily Star are planning to make Santo a potential candidate on a short term basis.

Santo, 45, has impressed the Blues chiefs with his Wolves team, playing an entertaining, free-flowing style of football in their first season of return to the EPL.

The Portuguese was in between the sticks for Porto when they won the Champions League title in 2004, and his side are within Europa League qualification position in the table.

They will be hoping to beat Chelsea home and away later today having recorded a 2-1 victory at Molineux in December.
