Chelsea superstar breaks big Premier League record this season

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has registered his name in the history books of the Premier League by becoming the first player with the highest number of passes in a single season.

Jorginho has made 2,332 passes from his deep-lying spot on the field for Chelsea, but surprisingly, the Italian football star has not made an assist.

The 27-year-old was signed from Napoli by Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, and he has established himself into the Blues' first team since he came to England.

But despite a fine start to life with Chelsea, Jorginho's form took a huge dip as he struggled to keep up with the pace of the English game.

He has been attacked by Chelsea fans many times for him to be dropped from the first team most especially after defeats against Manchester City and Manchester United.

Jorginho has played 26 Premier League games this season for Chelsea and has scored only one goal for the Stamford Bridge landlords.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently occupying sixth position on the Premier League standings with 53 points after 27 games played this term.
