Zidane reveals his decision to replace Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea boss

Zinedine Zidane has confessed to close friends he is unsure if he will replace Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea boss with Serie A champions Juventus keen on offering him a deal- and a return to the Italian topflight as manager.

According to Metro report citing The Sun, Blues Italian boss Sarri extended his stay at Stamford Bridge after Wednesday's win over Tottenham in the Premier League, but there are doubts surrounding his capabilities to manage the club going forward.

At the last count, the west London dwellers suffered their heaviest defeat in the English topflight under the Italian, and lost the Carabao Cup final to Man City before returning to winning ways against Spurs.

The reports further revealed that Chelsea eggheads are keeping close tabs on Zidane as a potential replacement for the former Napoli boss, but also want to see if he can improve the club's fortune before the summer.

But Chelsea chiefs are now at crossroad after they were informed Zidane could likely emerge Juventus manager at the end of the season with Massimiliano Allegri tipped to leave at the end of the campaign.

The Bianconeri are closing in on a fifth successive Serie A silverware under the Italian manager, but the fans are unconvinced about his managerial expertise to win the Champions League.

Juve are keen to land Zidane as a replacement, having spent five years in Turin as a player, and have also proved his quality in Europe three consecutive Champions League titles at Real Madrid.

Interestingly, Zidane while discussing his next destination informed his friends he prefers Italy to England, citing the prospects of more glories in Europe rather than Chelsea's managerial issues that have seen the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Antonio Conte and now Sarri leave unceremoniously.

In addition, Zidane is reportedly worried about the effect of a two-window transfer ban on Chelsea, a situation that could also see Eden Hazard leave for Real Madrid next season.
