Paris Saint German superstar Neymar has been excluded from the list of top ten Brazil's greatest footballers since Pele.

The 27-year-old became world's most expensive player following his mega money move valued around £199 million from Barcelona to PSG in 2017.

He however won four titles with the Parisians in his first year at the club, but his stay has been plagued with series of injuries.

The votes was as a result of a controversial write-up by a Brazilian magazine Placar, which named Neymar as the country's greatest player since the three-time World Cup winner.

Bleacher Report quoting ESPN FC also added that the 27-year-old finished in 11th place and amassed more negative votes in the process, as over 160,000 ballots were cast.

Most of who won the World Cup during their active football days for the south American country, while lack of success on the international stage has been Neymar's major problems.

In view of this, former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho believes with the PSG star winning the World Cup, he could be on level terms with Pele.

The former Barca player has scored 60 goals in 96 appearances for his country in all competitions - 17 lesser than Pele, who is the highest goals scorer with 77 goals before hanging his boots.

With four titles already in his cabinet after just one season at Parc Des Princes, Neymar would have won multiple domestic titles in three countries if they hold on to their leadership on the log.

He got his career started with Brazilian side, Santos and won six titles within just two seasons before moving to Spain.

While at Barcelona, he won one Champions League title, one FIFA Club World Cup, two La Liga's and several other domestic silverware.

Meanwhile, in spite of leaving Messi's shadows with his move to France, Neymar has not been able to stamp his feet in European football at his present club.

He has suffered two major injuries, among others with less than two full seasons at the French League side.

PSG missed his services in their 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Champions League last week, and they will hope they can have him in a couple of weeks from now.
