Neymar emerges as £262m world record target for top Premier League giants

Neymar of Paris-Saint-Germain has reportedly emerged as a summer target for Premier League giants Manchester United who are ready to offer his club massive £262 million.

The Brazilian who is currently recuperating from injury has never played in the Premier League before although he was linked with a world record move to Manchester City.

Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be behind the call to bring Neymar to Old Trafford according to the report by Don Balon.

The report added that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make the special request to bring Neymar to the Premier League immediately the club hire him as United manager permanently.

It will be a big deal for the Brazil international who is regarded as the third best player in the world behind Ronaldo and Messi.

He joined PSG 18 months from reigning Spanish champions Barcelona in a record £200m switch.

But Neymar's time in France has been far from perfect, with reports suggesting he has failed to settle and craves a move elsewhere.

Neymar was unable to face Manchester United in the Champions League first leg in the round of 16, and he will also miss the return leg in Paris due to the injury.
